Winter Events Programme

The chance to possibly see Bittern, Smew and Water Rail and all of the other birds present in the country park at this time of year makes this a "must do" event.

Each year the Bedfont Lakes Country Fair attracts up to 6,000 visitors and has become a popular attraction for families.

This event takes place on the South Side of the park and is a rare opportunity to see this part of the park, which is currently normally closed to the public. The entrance to this event is through the main double gates halfway up Challenge Road, Feltham. If in doubt please ring the duty ranger for advice: 07525-197-866.

Apple Day is an annual celebration of apples and orchards. In celebration of Apple Day the Rangers will be opening up the Chattern Hill Community Orchard in the south side of Bedfont Lakes Country Park and everyone is welcome to discover the different varieties of apples, take time to taste them and pick apples to take home. Local Beekeepers and Allotment holders will also be joining us and visitors can sample some of the fine local produce that can be found in the borough.

The Friends will be running a stall at this event.

A wander round Bedfont Lakes looking for the various mushrooms, toadstools, and other fungi that should be appearing now. Learn how to try and identify them, and also find out which ones are poisonous or edible.
